Council took delivery of four new Kubota zero-turn ride-on mowers on Thursday, 5 November. The mowers were received by Frankie Woibo, a lawn mowing specialist within Council's Open Spaces team.

The investment comes at an important time as Hope Vale prepares for the upcoming wet season, when grass growth across the community accelerates significantly. The new mowers will enhance Council's ability to maintain parks, open spaces, roadsides, and community areas more efficiently and safely.

Gary Port, Council's Open Spaces Supervisor said the additional equipment will help Council keep pace with the exceptional grass growth experienced during the rainy season.

"The growth rate of grass in Hope Vale during the wet season is phenomenal. These new mowers will significantly improve our capacity to maintain public areas and keep our community looking neat, safe and well-presented throughout the rainy season."

The acquisition forms part of Council's ongoing commitment to providing reliable services and maintaining community assets to a high standard for residents and visitors alike.
