Council would like to advise that there is a rat infestation in the Hope Vale community.(PDF, 570KB) It is essential we rectify this issue immediately.
Rats can carry diseases into your home and can contaminate food and damage your property. They can get into homes through small gaps, roofs, walls, doors, and under floors. They can breed quickly and they may chew wiring, pipes, and other important items in your home.
Council staff will be going to each house in the community to place rat traps, and then will return at a later point to monitor these traps.
We kindly ask for your cooperation and access to your property so our staff can carry out this important work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
